I honestly have the best friends and family in the whole wide world which made saying good bye kinda hard… but my wonderful mommy and daddy put together one of the most amazing going away parties! There was food, games, and of course all of my dearest friends! I am going to miss everyone so much…but I have an amazing year ahead of me! So many new things to see and do and people to meet 🙂
Getting SOOOO close to being in Bolivia !!

The wait for my visa has been … LONG! But finally I am able to say I have all my forms done and translated (into Spanish) and can send them off today! There’s been quite a few mix ups with my visa forms but I’m just happy its finally completed 🙂 Something I’ve learnt from this visa experience is that patience is very important. And I’m one step closer to getting to Bolivia (Hooray!!) . I honestly can’t wait to be on the plane going to Bolivia and to be able meet my host family for the first time!! Things are all coming together and I couldn’t be more excited!!!

This past week I got to go to Calgary and see my Aunt and Uncle and my two little cousins for the last time before I leave…kinda sad now that I think about it. But the trip was a blast! It couldn’t have been better. After being there I actually feel ready to leave. I got my suitcases, which surprisingly made me really excited. I also went for a day of shopping to get the final things I needed…like shorts cause I only had 1 pair and I’m going to Bolivia, which will be very hot!
Its hard to wrap my head around the fact that I’m going to be spending a whole year in another country. I’ve been reading other people’s blogs who have already left and its making me want to leave sooner rather than later. There’s been so much waiting and I’m definitely ready to be in Santa Cruz and start my year.
